Management Profile

Our management team is a homogeneous blend of young and energetic professionals and seasoned leaders having vast experience and requisite vision to efficiently manage the affairs of the company. The management under the directives of the Board of Directors ensures complete implementation of company policies in addition to looking after the day to day affairs. The team is led by our Executive Chairman who monitors and directs the company in all the spheres of its activities. Implementation of Chairman’s directives and physical execution of project related activities is the responsibility of the Chief Executive Officer. Following are the profiles of our management team:-

Lt.Gen. Amjad Shuaib (Chairman)

General Shuaib was commissioned in Pakistan Army in 1965. He graduated from Command and Staff College Quetta in 1974 and from National Defence College Islamabad in 1986. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant General and retired as Adjutant General Pakistan Army in March 2000.

General Shuaib holds two masters degrees, one each from Punjab University Lahore and Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad. He has also done his graduation in Mechanical Engineering. General Shuaib’s professional experience includes advisory roles and positions as Chief Executive, Director and Chairman of numerous financial institutions, corporate companies and industries. In addition to his commitments with CRL he is also working as Chairman of Hep Pak Foundation, a charitable organization working for creation of awareness amongst the masses on health issues particularly hepatitis B and C.

Mr. Ali Faizan Syed (Chief Executive)

Mr. Faizan is an Electronic Engineer having qualified from NED University, Karachi. He has acquired intensive practical training and orientation in National Refinery Limited. Having vast experience in the field of Material Management, he provided his services to one of the largest refineries in the public sector. By virtue of his technical ability and experience he played a vital role in the de-bottlenecking of various projects of multinational and local Industries of Pakistan. Mr. Faizan presently holds Directorship in Synergy Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd, Industrial Services Agencies, Petro-Fert Services International, Blue Chips Engineering Solution and Progressive Engineering Company.

Syed Ashfaq Hussain (Director)

He is a Law graduate and has extensive work experience of about 38 years. He started his career in packages limited. Later on he joined National Fertilizer Corporation in 1974 a Corporation under the control of Ministry of Production, Govt of Pakistan. After spending 2 years in NFC in different capacities he was transferred to Pak Saudi Fertilizer, where he was in charge of local and foreign procurement as well as Personnel / Administration. He was posted at Milan where his job responsibility entailed arranging shipment and expediting short shipped material by different International suppliers.

He was again transferred as G.M In charge in NFC, Karachi in 1985, where he looked after the overall supervision and clearance of 450,000 M tons of material pertaining to different projects of NFC. He rendered assistance in chartering vessels for transportation of rock phosphate and sulphur. He liaised with Government agencies such as Customs, Railways, KPT and TCP etc. and all Ministries in Islamabad for obtaining import licenses, opening of L/Cs and miscellaneous permissions from State Bank of Pakistan and Investment Promotion Bureau etc.

He attended many courses like London Executive Programme, London Business School & Advance Management Program organized by Harvard University in collaboration with PIM.

He opted for voluntary retirement by availing golden hand shake in May, 2002, when he was in grade Director I (equivalent to BPS 22).

Mr. Ali Salman Syed (Director)

Mr. Ali Salman Syed holds a Bachelor in Science Degree in Chemicals from University of Engineering & Technology Lahore. In his comprehensive 15 years of Business Management he has been working for international & national groups while managing senior positions. He has been working in the capacity of Managing Director for SAF International group of companies. He is also CEO of Synergy Pakistan Private Limited which is one of the reputable EPC Companies in Pakistan. Mr. Ali Salman Syed has been traveling through out the world attending business management meetings, seminars and exhibitions. He has managed a reputable business group in Pakistan offering services to national industries. In the domestic industrial sector, he has been providing technological consultancies & business administration services. Mr. Ali Salman Syed has also provided his expertise to the various multinational companies in Pakistan.

Mr. Muhammad Tariq Sumar. CFO & Company Secretary
Mr. Muhammad Tariq Sumar is Associate Member of Accounting Division England & Wales, completed articleship from M/s Taseer Hadi ‘khalid & Co Chartered Accountants (member Firm of KPMG) Lead Auditor ISO 9000, & holds Bachelor degree in commerce from Karachi University. He has 16 years of extensive experience in the field of Accounts / Audit.
